How to Use The Parish Search Engine

Our search makes it easy to find documents, news, and information across the parish website.

The Basics

Simply type what you're looking for in the search box. Results appear as you type — no need to press Enter (though you can if you prefer).

Use the filter buttons to show only:

  • Documents — PDFs like minutes, agendas, and policies
  • News — Blog posts and announcements
  • Pages — Website pages

Smart Search

Our search understands related terms, so you might find relevant results even if the exact words don't match. For example, searching for "playground" might also find document's about "play area" or "recreation ground".
Privacy note: Search queries are processed using AI services (Open AI) to improve results. No personal data is stored or used for any other purpose

Quick Answers

How current are the results?
Documents and posts are indexed regularly, so recent uploads should appear in search.

Why can't I find something?
Try fewer or different keywords. If you're searching for a document you know exists, try just part of the filename or a key word from the content.

Can I link to a search?
Yes! Add ?q= followed by your search terms to the search page URL. For example:
/search/?q=budget+2024
